Employment

Ever changing regulations and increasingly more challenging requirements facing commercial organisations, call for the support of a pro-active legal team. At colemans-ctts we have an energetic and pragmatic approach, working together with our clients as part of their HR Team.

Led by Tom Walker, a Chambers & Partners UK ranked leading individual, our national Employment Team provides a full service to business.

Our services include:

  • Terms of Employment
  • Directors' Service Contracts
  • Employment handbooks and policies
  • Restrictive covenants and confidential information
  • Redundancies
  • Collective and trade union issues
  • TUPE transfers
  • Work Permits

In particular, we specialise in reorganisations and restructuring, advising and implementing the legal and practical frameworks required to see matters through.   See our Employment HR Package for a tailored made service aimed at assisting companies with key areas of the law and practice.

Our aim is to work with clients and support them in all areas of best practice. We recognise though that some employment disputes cannot be avoided. Should you be subject to Tribunal proceedings, we guide and represent you from start to finish, usually carrying out our own advocacy. We cover all areas of litigation both in Tribunal and High Court including:

  • Unfair Dismissal
  • Discrimination
  • Working Time Regulations
  • Breach of contract
  • Confidentiality and other restrictive injunctions

Whether seeking advice or representation we take an active approach, coming to your offices and finding commercial solutions to the issues.

We also provide a full service to individuals who may have been wrongfully or unfairly dismissed by their employers or suffered discrimination. While we do not offer 'no win no fee' arrangements owing to the lack of costs awards in Tribunals, we may be able to agree fee structure to enable you to progress a case despite limited financial resources.

Please see our archive of employment e-briefs called 'In Brief' which is an alert on hot topics dealing with the latest employment issues that employers must be aware of.
