Roger meets mountain challenge

Colemans-CTTS senior partner Roger Coleman marked his 50th birthday in dramatic style recently by competing in the annual “C-C-C” Ultra trail race through the Alps.

Part of the annual Ultratrail du Mont Blanc, the 98 km race goes from Courmeyer in Italy to Chamonix in France via Champex in Switzerland over 5 mountains, with 5,600 metres of  ascent and a deadline of 26 hours. Roger finished in a creditable 23 hours and 54 seconds, 714th overall out of over 2000 starters.

“Whilst I was disappointed to miss my target of under 23 hours by less than a minute I was delighted to complete the event, which marked the culmination of nearly a year’s hard training” said Roger. “I was even more delighted to raise over £3,000 for charity thanks to the very generous sponsorship of friends and business colleagues”.

Funds will go to The Prostate Cancer Charity, and there is still time to donate at www.justgiving.com/rogercoleman. For more information about the event, go to www.ultratrailmb.com
