Holiday claims website accidents-abroad.com is launched!

Colemans-ctts LLP this week launched a new dedicated online travel claims service, accidents-abroad.com; aimed at making it easier for individuals and groups who have suffered injury or illness on holiday to get the expertise and advice they need in order to make a claim.

"Many clients have initial concerns about contacting a firm of solicitors,” said Partner and specialist travel claims solicitor Nolan Mortimer. “Whether due to perceptions of stuffiness or formality about law firms in general, or just the trepidation of not knowing whether they can bring a claim if the incident happened outside the UK. Accidents Abroad aims to dispel these fears and provide advice and expertise to clients who would otherwise have to face the expense that comes with an accident or illness abroad themselves.”

Prior to launch, the site carried out its own research in order to gauge what it was clients were looking for in a law firm. They found that expertise rather than brand name proved to be the key issue for those looking to hire a solicitor with 67% of respondents placing expertise as the most important factor in their decision of who to instruct to deal with their travel claim.  Surprisingly, only 10% felt that brand was an important factor. 

“It just goes to show that despite all the media hype around legal services, customers still rate expertise as their top priority and brand awareness is low down their list of priorities” added Nolan. 

The survey also revealed that people considered cost and previous experience as being high on their list of priorities.
