Types of spinal cord injuries
The three main types of spinal cord injuries are:
- Tetraplegia – damage to the spinal cord in the neck causing loss of movement and feeling in the upper body, both arms and legs
- Paraplegia – damage to the spinal cord in the sacral, lumber or cervical region of the back causing loss of movement and feeling in the lower limbs and/or parts of the body
- A spinal injury causing severe disability in pain, movement, mobility, loss of sensation/feeling and loss of employment
More than just compensation
Our cases are about more than just about obtaining compensation. We offer help and assistance with rehabilitation and aim to investigate and progress your claim as quickly as possible.
We understand that your priority is to obtain the highest standard of treatment and rehabilitation. Our dedicated team of specialist solicitors can help by securing interim payments that allow specialist treatment to take place through to buying a house adapted to your needs.
We aim to give you independence both now and in the future. We are aware that no two cases are every the same, and that the amount of compensation should be tailored to the individual case. This is why compensation payments for spinal injuries can reach millions of pounds as future care, loss of earnings, specialist equipment and tax advice to maintain your benefits are all investigated and pursued. Your compensation payment will also provide security for your family.
